Coláiste Eoin Scoops National Award

Go Coláiste Eoin, Go!
Coláiste Eoin is the ‘Let’s Talk about Drugs’ National Youth Media Awards winners, 2017.
We competed against 700 entries in the Drugs.ie Awards and YES . . . once again WE WON! We received two awards in the Clocktower Centre in the Department of Education today. The categories ranged from 12-14 years up to 20-25 year olds and today we won both major awards. The first win was for AUDIO 12-14 year category. For this we received a mini iPad. We were also awarded the overall National Prize for 2017. The overall winning prize was €2000 and a crystal trophy.
We wrote and recorded Take off your Mask and sent a loud and clear message out to young people everywhere to avoid drugs. Our rapper friend Garry McCarthy (@GMCBeats) spent a day over the midterm with the Coláiste Eoin rappers to help plan and record the anti-drugs rap. We are so incredibly proud of all the performers and the writers. Hard work really does pay off! Thanks to Helena and the School Completion Team for their support and commitment. Thanks to Richie from the Finglas Cabra Drugs Squad for encouraging us.
