Helping with homework and encouraging students to study is often a challenge for parents. In our Homework page, we discussed the expectations for students and parents regarding homework as well as the rough guidelines for how long each year group should spend completing their work. However, there is a lot more to studying than just completing the assigned homework.
Parents who are looking for advice regarding how best to support their child's studies can take a look at The Institute Of Guidance Counsellors' "Learning to Learn" document attached below, or alternatively have a read through the Study Tips Booklet. Our Teachers are always more than happy to discuss a child's progress, and parents are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with their child's teachers if they would like any help in supporting their child.
